  1. Introduction

Welcome to SchoolMum SG (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”). SchoolMum SG is a peer-to-peer coaching marketplace that connects experienced Singapore parents (“Senior Mums”) with other parents seeking guidance on Singapore’s education system.

By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Platform.

  1. Who We Are

SchoolMum SG is a platform operated by Happyesteem Pte. Ltd., registered in Singapore. We act solely as an intermediary between Senior Mums (coaches) and participants (Junior Mums). We do not provide coaching services directly.

  1. Eligibility

To use SchoolMum SG, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a resident or legal visitor of Singapore
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Agree to these Terms of Service
  1. User Roles

Junior Mum (Participant): A parent seeking advice and guidance on Singapore’s education system.

Senior Mum (Coach): An experienced parent who has successfully navigated Singapore’s education system and offers 1:1 coaching sessions through our Platform. Senior Mums must apply and be approved by SchoolMum SG before listing their services.

  1. Senior Mum Verification

All Senior Mums go through a verification process that includes:

  • Submission of personal information and educational achievements
  • Review of supporting documents (school results, acceptance letters, etc.)
  • Manual approval by the SchoolMum SG team

SchoolMum SG does not guarantee the accuracy of information provided by Senior Mums. Participants are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence.

  1. Bookings and Sessions
  • All bookings must be made through the SchoolMum SG app
  • Once a booking is accepted by a Senior Mum, both parties are expected to honour the arrangement
  • Sessions may be conducted online or in-person, as agreed between both parties
  1. Fees and Payments

Platform Commission: SchoolMum SG charges a platform commission of 15% on each completed session fee, retained from the total amount paid by the participant.

GST: Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 9% is applicable and will be added to the total amount. A breakdown of fees will be shown at checkout.

Example:
Coaching fee: S$100.00
Platform commission: S$15.00 (15%)
Subtotal: S$115.00
GST (9%): S$10.35
Total: S$125.35

Escrow Payment: All payments are held in escrow by SchoolMum SG. Funds are released to the Senior Mum only after the participant confirms that the session has been completed satisfactorily.

  1. Cancellation and Refund Policy
  • More than 48 hours before session: 100% refund
  • 24–48 hours before session: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours before session: No refund

Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.

  1. Communication Policy

All communication between Senior Mums and participants must take place within the SchoolMum SG app. Sharing of personal contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) for the purpose of arranging sessions outside the Platform is strictly prohibited.

Violation of this policy may result in permanent account suspension for both parties.

  1. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Circumvent the Platform’s payment system
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Post content that is defamatory, offensive, or illegal
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings or reviews
  • Use the Platform for any purpose other than education coaching
  1. Intellectual Property

All content on the SchoolMum SG Platform, including logos, design, and software, is owned by Happyesteem Pte. Ltd. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

User-generated content (such as coach profiles and reviews) remains the property of the respective users. By submitting content, you grant SchoolMum SG a non-exclusive licence to display and use that content on the Platform.

  1. Limitation of Liability

SchoolMum SG acts as an intermediary platform only. We are not liable for:

  • The quality or outcome of coaching sessions
  • Any disputes between Senior Mums and participants
  • Loss of earnings or indirect damages arising from use of the Platform
  • Technical interruptions or downtime

Our total liability to you in respect of any losses shall not exceed the amount you paid through the Platform in the 3 months prior to the claim.

  1. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or harmful behaviour
  • Fail to maintain accurate account information

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at admin@schoolmum.sg.

  1. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between a Senior Mum and a participant:

  1. Contact SchoolMum SG at admin@schoolmum.sg with details of the dispute
  2. We will review and respond within 5 business days
  3. If unresolved, parties may seek assistance from the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE)
  4. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

  1. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
